For Blood Or Justice takes place in the summer of 1977. It is the story of a Texas lawman Cotton De La Croix and his relentless pursuit of two renegade killers, Alex and Angel Anderson. Cotton's journey takes him from Texas, through New Mexico, and finally, across the border into Mexico. Confronted by an avenging ex-Luchador, a deaf stripper, a crusading Mexican Detective, and an escaped Nazi scientist with a laboratory of human experiments, Cotton finds himself out of his jurisdiction and fighting for his life in a bizarre and horrific new world.
For Blood or Justice is an original story set in the late 70’s, a decade filled with global turmoil, cultural unrest, political chicanery, a largely unpopular war, and some really good music. A decade much like today’s.
We set out to create a story that was culturally, theoretically and spatially diverse. A story that would combine multiple genres like horror and film noir, occupied by lawmen and luchadors, strippers and sociopaths, vigilantes and Elvis impersonators. Oh yes, and let’s not forget, plenty of monstrous creatures, government hitmen, and fugitive Nazis.
But we didn’t do this in an effort to please everyone. We did it because we thought it was cool. Because it gave our story life and personality. Because the planets aligned and gave birth to our strange new universe. Or some shit like that.
Most important of all, we created a story that we wanted to read and enjoy ourselves. We think we accomplished that. We hope you enjoy absorbing it as much as we had creating it.
Weaving historical fact with conjecture and fantasy, For Blood Or Justice creates a captivating world that walks the line between fact and fiction. The story draws upon a vast array of factual, historical events and personalities to provide a rich, complex background to its original story and fictional characters. For Blood Or Justice will forge an unique world of old and new, classic meets contemporary, and fact fusing with fiction.
